Rix Maadi

Purpose / Function

Rix Maadi is the lava-filled lair of Rakdos and the Cult of Rakdos guildhall. It is more often used as a circus of horrors than anything officially related to guild business, however.

Architecture

An immense, crumbling, red stone staircase called the Demon's Vestibule begins the journey from the Smelting District down to the depths, treating travellers to terrifying images depicted on banners as they descend. Farther down, the temperature rises as lava falls and pools create grand displays along the path. Eventually, the passage opens up into the Festival Grounds, where the bloodiest performances of the Rakdos and their tortorous equipment are on display.

History

No one in Ravnica remembers a time when Rakdos did not revel in Rix Maadi.
