Salt-Forged Steel

So-called "salt" forging is the traditional method of metalworking by the sea elves, although salt has little to do with the actual process. Landlubbers commonly refer to these products as "salt-forged steel" regardless of the actual metal used.

Salt-Forged Armor

While underwater, salt-forged armor doesn't have a strength requirement and doesn't cause disadvantage on stealth rolls.
While wearing salt-forged armor, fire damage you take is reduced by 2, or by 3 if it's heavy armor.

Salt-Forged Weapon

Salt-forged weapons don't suffer disadvantage on attack rolls underwater, and salt-forged ammunition can be used to make long range attacks with normal disadvantage.
Weapons made of salt-forged steel ignore resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage when used against:

Water elementals

Oozes

Salt-forged steel is resistant to corrosion while underwater.
