Rakvalinor Ruined paradise of the Elves

Six months ago elvish ships began arriving from the West, bringing crowds of refugees claiming to be from Valinor, the legendary elven paradise across the seas. The refugees told of how Corellon became angry with his Valar, and threw down his great Hammer, which shattered the continent itself into pieces.   Valinor became Rakvalinor, a land ravaged by blights and demons. Mystical and divine energies, once tamed by the elves, were unleashed upon the land, and raw portals to distant planes were torn open, leaking alien plagues into the world. Masses of elves died, and the survivors fled east to escape.   In spite of these dire stories, a growing number of adventurers, mercenaries, and looters are sailing west, hoping to find glory or at least booty. The beautiful cities of the Valar are now unprotected ruins, and all of the glorious treasures made by Elven hands are ripe for the taking by the bold.
