Mithral Material in Rakvalinor | World Anvil

Mithral

Mithral is a light, flexible, blue-tinted metal. Mithral is highly esteemed in elven culture, as it has many virtues that the Valar people esteem in themselves: lightness, flexibility, strength, and musicality. Although mithral is a useful metal, most Valar can only afford mithral jewelry and decoration.

Mithral Armor

If the normal version of an armor has a strength requirement or causes disadvantage on stealth rolls, the mithral version of the armor doesn't.   While wearing mithral armor, lightning and thunder damage you take is reduced by 3, or by 5 if it's heavy armor.

Mithral Weapon

If the normal version of a weapon has the heavy property, the mithral version of the weapon doesn't. For weapons that aren't normally heavy, instead the mithral version of the weapon has the light property.   Mithral weapons get +1 on attack and damage rolls, and ignore damage resistance, when used against:
  • Aberrations
  • Monstrosities
  • Air and water elementals
  • Fey creatures
  • Shadow creatures
  • Fiends that are neither demon nor devil
  •   Mithral is resistant to corrosion.
