Deepsilk

Deepsilk is a rare form of silk made by drow elves from special caterpillars that have adapted to the darkness and magic of the underdark. Deepsilk very faintly glows, such that the glow can only be seen in the deepest darkness. In dim light deepsilk instead appears as a subtly iridescent grey color, and in direct sunlight deepsilk rapidly decays. Elite drow matriarchs prize deepsilk as a status symbol.
