Adamantine Material in Rakvalinor | World Anvil

Adamantine

Adamantine is the hardest metal elvenoids know how to smelt and forge, and such work requires the most intense heat and controlled conditions possible. The dwarves say that the deepest foundation of the world, beneath the deepest bedrock, is an infinite layer of solid adamantine.

Adamantine Armor

While wearing adamantine armor, any critical hit against you becomes a regular hit.   Additionally: acid, force, thunder, and radiant damage you take is reduced by 4, or by 6 if it's heavy armor.

Adamantine Weapon

When an adamantine weapon hits an inanimate object, the hit is always a critical hit.   Adamantine weapons get +1 to attack and damage rolls, and ignore damage resistance, when used against:
  • Animated objects, golems, and other constructs
  • Earth and fire elementals
  • Devils and celestials
  •

    Adamantine Holy Symbol

If you're a cleric or paladin wielding a holy symbol made of adamantine, you can use your channel divinity features against celestials. Additionally, devils and celestials take a -2 penalty on saving throws against your channel divinity features.   If you're a cleric or paladin carrying a holy symbol made of adamantine, when you hit a devil or celestial with your divine smite or divine strike feature, you can reroll up to two of your radiant damage d8s.

    Adamantine Spell Focus

When a spell is cast with a focus made of adamantine, the saving throw DC is increased by 3 for saving throws made by devils and celestials.
Adamantine is resistant to corrosion except on the outer planes.
