Personal history

When Skadi was very young, her father attempted to take leadership of her clan. His attempt to assert his dominance failed, and as was customary in the orcish society, his father was broken under the hard in of a greatclub. Her family was thusly banished from the clan for their treachery. In the harsh months of winter, even a daily struggle was beyond their means. One day, Skadi awoke to her dead mother and brother, expired of cold. With nothing left, she ventured out for food, only to find a lone wolf, injured and abandoned. She treated its wounds with what little supplies she had.
In time, the wolf led her back to its hovel, and with great fortune, its pack did not devour her immediately. Instead, she used her orcish instincts to survive among these wolves, acting as one of them as a means of survival. By the end of winter, her efforts proved fruitful, and she was able to leave, despite having lost much during that harsh winter.
She made her way into human society, attempting to distance herself greatly from orcs. In time, she met with Elúra, Oxton, and Kemuri. When they imparted to her that they were traveling across the land on a great pilgrimage, and invited her along, she gladly accepted, her new companions giving her a purpose in life she had not known sense the loss of her family.
