Overview
Boden is an underground society built by an ancient species called the "Gnosis Adamas". It is a massive artificial biome made up by of a vast network of tunnels known as the Hekatombs, and what lies the heart of Boden is known as the Core. The Core is a coalition of 5 city-states known as Kupfer, Eisen, Allai, Lstehil, Seolfor, and the governmental district known as the Tyreinium.

Who are the Gnosis Adamas?

The Gnosis Adamas are the progenitors of Boden, who once roamed the surface or Einöde when it was habitable before the Aniurnoition. A cataclysmic event which created the Veil, a shield of matter blanketing Einöde in perpetual darkness. It is believed the Gnosis Adamas created Boden as a plan B for their survival, which partially worked. However the Gnosis Adamas went extinct before they could see Boden it is now, but their descendants the Hominum, remain.

Who are the Hominum?

Hominum is the predominant genus of intelligent life who evolved from the Gnosis Adamas and have various intelligent species. However two predominant families are the Gothic and the Pastilé.
Firstly, the Gothic are born from R.E.I.D and make up the majority of the population Core and are defined by their opalescent eyes, and physically enhanced physiology which gives many of them a sense of intrinsic superiority baised off their genetics.
Secondly, the Pastilé are natural born and are the second biggest population in Boden. Time has taken its toll and they've evolved more to inhabit the darkness of Hekatombs with their semi-transparent skin and large red or blue eyes with black sclera being their most notible features. They feel distain towards the hubris of the Gothics and are known for their inquisitive minds and rich culture. Their ancestors Nomads of the Hekatombs, much of their cultural history being key sources filling the gaps the Great Collapse created.

What is Boden?

Boden resides underground, far from the surface of the planet. Boden is a self-sustained structure that manages, contains, and sustains a safe artificial environment for Hominum life. despite being obviously man made has qualities of a living non-organic, organism that self-regulates itself autonomously in areas such as air filtration, atmospheric regulation, internal temperature regulation, regenerates broken aspects of itself, and more. However structures built inside of Boden are not maintained. The extent it goes is not completely understood, however Ousía or Ether, appears to be Bodens main power source. The Gnosis Adamas were a highly advanced civilization whose knowledge unfortunately, has largely been lost due to war and 'The Great Collapse' which corrupted or erased much of Boden's recorded history.

Concerns?

This loss of knowledge has raised important questions within the political, and scientific hemisphere's since Boden is the only known structure of its kind which they know frighteningly little about. They worry if, or rather when, Boden suddenly ceases to function the Hominum have no alternative, since Einöde is inhospitable for Hominum life. Issues of overpopulation, and incest due to limited population, corporations damaging Boden for financial gain, immigration between the citystates and Hekatombs.
These questions have forced the Tyreinium to unanimously push scientific study of Boden to the front. Pouring a great deal of financial influence into one government funded research facility in particular, Jitřenka for both better and for worse. However it still remains to be seen how long Boden will continue to sustain itself. In essence Boden is a proverbial ticking time bomb.

Geography

Boden has three distinct sections, Boden itself, the Hekatombs and the Core.

Boden

The structure of Boden itself is best discribed as the walls, and electrical wiring of a building that seperates the people inside from anything from the outside, akin to the bark of a tree that protects its vendrable insides from harm.

The Hekatombs

The Hekatombs is a labyrinthian system of root like tunnels inside of Boden that stretch for miles in any given direction, some even leading to the surface. The Hekatombs are separate from the Core, but still have many Hominum communities under or not under the protection of the Core, ranging from sub-urban to rural in comparison to the metropolises of the Core. However much of the Hekatombs remains near-lawless due to the difficulty of maintaining law and the lack of resources allocated to more rural areas of the Hekatombs.

The Core

The Core is the name of the 5 City-states and Tyreinium collectively. Lying in the center of Boden's structure only a few miles from each other. They all have their own metropolises for each city state respectively and extend only a few miles into the Hekatombs before cutting off jarringly with a heavily guarded boarder, distancing themselves from the sub-urban and rural areas of the Hekatombs.
