The Roots of Hell
An absent Baron, a cruel Ducal house, and a withering Kingdom. Maddened fey, an invasion of Orcs, and a weakening of the veil between Worlds. Evil is stirring deep within the Gwydyr Forrest, and All is connected.
Plot points/Scenes
Overarching plot: an alien invasion tied to the Hells (and possibly the Great Prison) is taking hold in Palthear- and they are using the powers of the Sitha's denizens in Middeia to do it.
Meanwhile, the House of the Baron of Sathorn is dead, save for young Lady Aerona of Sathorn, held captive by their killers. The Cwryddoch (cu-WRY-ðoch) Duchy is involved or complicit in their deaths
Ideas in No Particular Order:
An unseelie glade, full of rot, white carnivorous butterflies, and fungal/plant based undead. The mistress is a lesser True Fey, mad and smiling, delighting in decay. The PC's need something from her- information or a physical McGuffin. "You little things are all so kind, in death... No want, no petty desires, no senseless sound. You give and give until you fall apart. It is beautiful. There should be no greater act, for mortals, than to die, than to feed the moss and vines and quiet, peaceful rot. Why do you not see this? Your foolish, selfish souls are a parasite to your true, beautiful forms. Come. Let me make you beautiful. Let me make you soft, and kind, and gentile. Don't worry. You won't care once your silly, loathsome spirit leaves you." She is being pursued or courted by the Gardener, as her powers directly link to it's aims. Weather she is defeated by the players or successfully parlayed with, she asks for their aid later, as she is being corrupted.
