Drosa
Drosa is one of the most important cities in Gnaritia. Located between two airship ports crutial for the business in Betbosen, it is home to many who are looking to do business with many different travellers that pass through the area.
Demographics
A large part of the population is made up of lower-class citizens, but the upper class, located in the centre of the city, holds the most influence.
Industry & Trade
There are many important places for travellers who wish to spend some of their coin. In no particular order:
Nature's Novelties
Run by a friendly and very enthusiastic human and his (literally) hot elven wife, Nature's Novelties is a one-stop shop for all lovers of botany.- Availiable here are many various plants either home-grown by the owner and his daughter or shipped in from one of his business associates.
- For many adventurers, it is possible to buy a few healing potions as well as stock up on your herbalist kits.
- Delion is a very knowledgable little fella, so he might even help the party with any identifying of creatures and plants
Sword's Edge
Where the river meets the city walls, in the Riverside Gateway district, is the local blacksmith's shop. Rooma the blacksmith runs it, and is willing to repair or upgrade any weapon she likes. For a price, of course.- A variety of weapons, ammo and armor can be bought, repaired or sold here.
- Rooma is an older but very tough elven woman (sea elf specifically) who is willing to exchange scrap metal for services (be it repairing weapons or getting small new ones).
- Her much younger niece, Yiea, has set up a stand in Haggler's square to sell the more artistic pieces. Rooma, though she enjoys making more artful works, prides herself on the practicality of her wares, so she prefers keeping the two businesses separate.
Arphenion Illdrun's Illustrious Apothecary
The local potion shop, should you want to call it as such, referred to by the inhabitants simply as "The Apothecary", is home to a well-respected individual known as Arphenion Ildrun. His potions, though high in price, are strong and reliable.- Ryul runs the cash register currently, since Toby is out of commission.
Mesmery-Eyes
One of the storefronts for the business, Mesmery-Eyes creates quality outfits fit for nobility and adventurers alike.- Norrelia has a national renoun for the quality of her pieces, and in Drosa, if you manage to get lucky, they may even be made by herself.
- Each piece has a tag which specifies the person who made it - all are done entirely by hand or mage hand
- The prices, of course, reflect this, and are ridiculous.
Snitch's Stitches
The more affordable option of clothing aquisition, let's be honest.- Run by a couple of older elven women, it is both a leatherworker shop and a seamstress business.
- The prices are cheaper, but the products have a distinct street-kid look to them.
- Besides clothes, they make bags, satchels and pouches.
Piles o' Pages
For all your scholarly (and young adult trash) needs!- Run by a sweet little elderly elven man, it has tomes of old, preserving texts that, though mass-produced, rarely survived the different epochs in R'Ondellian history.
- There is also young adult commercial and self-published trash in the back.
- Don't tell him. He knows, but don't tell him anyway.
Note Worthy
Stationary and paper. So much paper. Why is there so much paper.- Qiqi (Red Dragonborn) runs the store. His name isn't Qiqi, but his wife calls him that, and she's quite the chatterbox, so everyone calls him that. He still hasn't gotten used to it. His actual name is Qithakus and he added a wide variety of maps to the stock recently, along with a couple sets of cartographer's tools. He runs a begginner's course every pirilin.
- Aezhango (Bronze Dragonborn) is the one who makes all the hand-made paper and quills. There is a wide variety of styles and colours, but her favourite are the earth-toned ones.
The Jewellery Shop
The Jewellery shop has more than just necklaces and rings - it sells magical crystals, which have a wide variety of uses!- Any sort of rare arcane components can be found here, it's actually pretty well stocked.
- Can create custom jewellery!
- Run by four elven sisters - Myantha (eldest, shopkeep), Elora (older, metalworker), Shaerha (younger, designer) and Allannia (youngest, jewel expert)
- Myantha's husband, a half-elf named Bastian, plays on his lyre inside the shop. All the ladies dance to the relaxing tune, giving the shop an alluring and etherial look.
