From what is known about the collapse of the Great Alliance, lines of communication between the formerly allied nations were cut off leading to strained relations. These strained relations devolved further throughout the Somber Age leading to a period of skirmishes and all-out wars over border locations and resources.
Once King Rance III decided to incorporate the town of Skipton's Wharf into walls between Forodost Castle and Hyton Lake, he decreed that the town would be henceforth known as Forodost. Only the remaining fishing docks retain the remnant of the town's original name.

Signing of the Arathelian Pact of Non-Aggression by the countries who survived the Somber Wars marked the end of the Somber Age and the beginning of the Current Age. By establishing communication norms including official courier routes, rapid communication through dedicated Norta's Doves, and the Decennial Conference of Nations, the Non-Aggression pact led Arathel into a new age of growth and prosperous development.
Overtime The Kingdom of Fenlor expanded and surrounded Ambury Town, making the village a de-facto part of that country for many years. The kingdom even provided some funding to the temple and protection to the town. Finally, The Kingdom of Fenlor annexed Ambury Town and gained oversight of Ambury Temple. The famous abbey and school was thereafter known as a Fenloran institution.

Not an all out war, but a drawn out conflict and fight for power between supporters of the four living cousins of Queen Sarra I, who left the throne without any direct offspring. The conflict lead to assassinations of King Warder I and King Anfrith III, and death in battle for King Andrew I. King Munder II was the last living cousin and died of natural causes in the year 3461 SR, leaving the throne to his daughter, Queen Sarra II.
