Jezoq Ghulam
Jezoq is a priest of the Syntyvä Religion and a leader in the Children of the Embers sub-sect of that religion. Under the direction of the Ambury cell's leader, Lenore Stavely, Jezoq works to spread the gospel of the new gods and bring to fruition to goals of the CoE.
Jezoq was born within the Mageocracy of Khahad, the son of a laundry woman and pottery maker. His family was quite poor and suffered under the burden of extreme debt that was passed on to Jezoq upon the death of his parents, who were trampled during a protest of the Mageocracy as fellow protestors fled from the elite government guard. Jezoq was left with crushing debt and was destitute. He watched as his only son and his wife starved to death, dying on the street in the middle of the night. Yet, when his life was the darkest, he says that Morkemmen came to him and guided him to a secret cache of gold that was nearly exactly that needed to pay off his debts. Now he worships Morkemmen and the other New Gods as the only true gods and professes to the inhabitants of Ambury Town about his experience of redemption.
