Garn Hobrook
Parson
Garn Hobrook is a Parson of the Ambury Temple, a member of the Arathelian Order, and a hostage of the Children of the Embers. Why Garn was kidnapped is unclear to others at Ambury Temple. Garn was last seen by his fellow Parsons on the 14th of Varisan, 4481.
Mhurren, Tancred, Thari, and Akarui, were told by Hartas Eveward to look up Garn when they arrived at Ambury Temple. Hartas let them know that Garn is also a member of the Arathelian Order, but has not sent any correspondence in a while. Hartas was very concerned about why he was targeted by the Gnolls pillaging around Wyston. It is possible that whatever network Ndu and their acolytes have put together has discovered other names and locations of the AO and may be trying to kidnap them as well.

Personal history
Garn was born to loving parents in the town of Yerwood, the eastern of the bridge cities around the capital, Hyton. In this trading town, Garn grew up in a fairly well-to-do household and attended school with children of similar rank and status in society. He developed an aptitude for medicine during his studies and, after finishing his primary studies, travelled to Ambury Temple, where he continued his studies and achieved the rank of Parson.
During his time at Ambury Temple, Garn has taken the lead on many of the expeditions to heal and care for the regional area surrounding the temple. Garn not only treats patients when he is in Ambury, but also travels frequently to surrounding areas when he has time off. He often travels to Portward, Andrew's Vale, and Ironhome, among others.
Mental Trauma
Garn’s ramblings – from his dreams:
A horrible darkness rises
Rolling over the land like a wave
Snuffing out lights, one by one
Until only an inky flood remains Four small, burning candles
Flickering in the night
Like islands of light
Holding back the darkness
But only for a time!
Like the tide
The shadow inexorably comes
Encroaching on those
Sweeping over the land and leaving nothing
Nothing but despair and false hope in the black
But amidst the darkness
Three pillars stand, once bright and strong
Their light shining, a beacon of hope
In the midst of the endless night
But cracks now line their surface
And their strength is starting to wane
As the darkness presses in
They struggle to remain
Yet still they stand, defiant
Against the tide of shadow
Holding fast, and shining bright
A symbol of hope, though their end is in sight
And so, even as the darkness consumes
The light continues to burn
A reminder that hope endures
And the fight is not yet lost.
