Macuahuitl

These wooden clubs are deceptively powerful. Often wielded by a Lizardfolk, a Macuahuitl is painted with an image of an animal or foe hated by its creator. This imbues the weapon to smite whatever is depicted on the flat side of the club.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

It was initially thought that the Macuahuitls were crafted with a specific enemy in mind, but when Welcome Tasks slayed an enemy with a blank Macuahuitl, its true nature became clear. The first enemy killed with a blank one causes it to mark the Macuahuitl to forever be a bane to all creatures of that type. This makes blank clubs incredibly valuable as they can be tailored to whatever challenge faces its wielder.
