Baenrae

The kingdom of Baenrae is a fairly new kingdom in the western part of Irithyl, south of the kingdom of Hyden of which it was formerly a part. It was founded after the fall of the Astorio Empire and has lasted through The Cataclysms. Its capital city is Gestade.
During the war of expansion of the Empire, the area fell under the Empire's control and was held for much of the war. The people of the area were upset at their former overlords' inability to keep them safe, and thus when the war ended they chose to claim independence and separate from Hyden.
