The Cleansing of Zykyrn Pilkarrz

Prelude: The Landing

With only the dissipating trail of the Aevyormii leader to guide him, Y'kàndrà is carried South. His aim: to clear Zykyrn Pilkarrz for his own use. First, he needed sleep.

I. A Lack of the Familiar

Y'kàndrà, still weary from his journey, sets out for the gates of Shevezz City, where he hopes to find the information he needs before he dares venture to Zykyrn Pilkarrz.

II. Unfamiliar Elements

"Unfamiliar Elements" is chapter 3 of "The Cleansing". In this episode, Y'kàndrà has to face one of his fears: administrative clerks.

III. Knowledge in Stone

Finally able to roam into Shevezz City, Y'kàndrà takes his first steps into a civilisation he hopes will hold the knowledge he needs.

IV. Dearest Ziporaz

Y'kàndrà, now known as Kanda-Nor makes his way into the library, where an uncomfortable appraisal leads to the discovery of an ancient scroll.

V. Seeds of Hope

Desperate to continue his research, Kanda-Nor realises he cannot afford to buy even basic writing materials. The return of the apple trader gives him hope a trade might be possible, not realising the mage is the one delivering the hope.

VI. Plumes of Distress

Vazkyr, already anxious about the water supply to the city of Shevezz faces another set-back, when her messenger arrives carrying blue-tipped feathers.

VII. The Value of a Life

Having managed to trade seeds for apples, Kanda attempts to trade apples for writing materials. Life without coin is complicated.

VIII: Fourth Tree to the East

Kanda finally awakens after arriving at the medical facilities. But he confounds the on-duty medic with his address.

IX: The Seal of the Prince

Realising that he cannot make a decision alone, Findat submits his findings to the Council and awaits their judgement.

X: Breakfast at Syndat's

Finally conscious once more, Kanda looks forward to breakfast, while Vazkyr seems troubled.

XI: Ascending to Chill-Caf

Finally allowed out of the medical wing, Kanda-Nor and Vazkyr have to face questions to replace suspicion with trust.

XII: A Team Built Right - Hopefully

Findat's team have set out to investigate why the Aevyormii are not delivering much-needed water supplies. His team takes a break at the edge of Shanvér, and Findat hopes he chose the right people.

XIII: Fun with Misconceptions

Before heading into Shenvér Woods, Findat's team enjoy a meal. As they pack up to leave, Veman is taken aback by how well armed the team's zoologist is.

In the excitement of finding wild ginger, Naja forgets the need for silence. This forces Shen and Azachet to battle the Black Bear that Naja unwittingly invited.

XVIII Finding Sleep, Finding Self

While Kanda-Nor is fully rested, Vazkyr feels dead on her feet. The pair walk back to the library to let him continue his research while she returns home to sleep. Sometimes it can be hard to take the logical and rational path, though.
