Ash Faith

Ash Faith is the state religion of the Testial Empire which started during a period of rejection of elven influences over the Empire. As the Empire grew more powerful and independent many people saw complete separation from elven customs as absolutely necessary. The adoption of the Fantasmal Method as the primary arcane researching discipline served to hasten the desire for complete independence. The Fantasmal Method greatly reduced the need for Elven rituals and the death of High God Craven Skyrim would mean for the first time in history a mortal sat on the throne as the Supreme One of the Elvish Imperium.   The new Supreme One saw the rejection of elven teachings as proof that humanity was not ready to be independent. He described the acts a naughty child acting out for attention or discipline. The new Supreme One was quick to call upon the power of the Church of the Ones to see to it that humans followed Elven teaching. This would be met with heavy backlash from Player One and the Imperial Court which saw this as a means for the Imperium to undermine the authority of Player One.   For recompense for defying the will of the Supreme One the Church of the Ones required that the Testial Empire pay regular increasing contributions. The church would also increase the trade tariffs throughout the empire. In response to this Player One renounced the Church of the Ones and refused to recognize the divinity of the Supreme One. Player One established the Ash Faith which had bases in pagan tradition developed during the Dragon Crisis before being taken in by the Elves.   Ash Faiths would not worship any of the Mortal Divine and instead would only follow the will of the High Gods. The Church of the Ones quickly lost power in favor of the new faith as many people saw the new Supreme One as just a mortal elf not a God. Ash Faiths established a new pantheon as well adding the God of Man to the pantheon for the first time.
