Pinnacle Asset Protection Force
Being such a massive corporation, Pinnacle Industries requires a sizeable security force to safeguard its various assets across the galaxy, and it's precisely for this purpose that the Pinnacle Asset Protection Force was created. Armed annd trained beyond the level of typical security, the Asset Protection Force is Pinnacle Industries' greatest tool for securing and defending the various assets associatted with the corporation across the galaxy, including material, territory, and personnel. While ostensibly meant to provide security, many claim that the resources and training used by the Asset Protection Force brings them closer to being a private corporate army, though Pinnacle Industries consistently denies this.

Manpower
While the total manpower of the Asset Protection Force is equal to a small army, the size of the forces deployed to a given area varies depending on the risk in the area and the value of the assets in question, ranging from 200 for low-priority deployments, to 5,000 for high priority deployments.
Equipment
The Asset Protection Force is equipped with infantry-grade combat armour, though more high-priority deployments see the use of heavier armour as needed.Additional equipment typically includes long-range communication equipment, medical supplies for in-the-field healing, and personal shielding units for added protection.
Weaponry
The Asset Protection Force is armed with military-grade energy weapons, with rifles, pistols, SMGs, and shotguns being the most typical armaments. Additionally, they have access to flashbang grenades, smoke grenades (normal and electrical), and stun rifles, pistols and batons for non-lethal subduing of targets. Since the risk of collateral damage to corporate assets would be too high to be acceptable, the useage of explosive weapons is limited to highly specific circumstances.
Vehicles
The Asset Protection Force has access to light and medium vehicles, APCs, Interceptor craft, and dropships. Additionally, the Asset Protection Force has access to a small fleet of ships made up of corvettes, destroyers, transport ships, and 5 carrier type cruisers, all of which are used to transport units and their equipment to deployment areas, and to defend assets from orbit.
Structure
The Asset Protection Force as a whole is overseen by the Asset Security Commander, with deployments being overseen by an APF Captain, and further divided into squads overseen by a lieutenant.
Tactics
The Asset Protection Force will keep close to whatever assets they were stationed to guard, and will make use of any chokepoints in the area. If available in the area, the Asset Protection Force will use whatever ships and vehicles they have to intercept any threats that are on approach to their position.

All members of the Asset Protection Force are trained in defensive tactics and urban fighting.

The Asset Protection Force typically draws recruits from the Veraxi military and veteran members of Pinnacle Industries security personnel. Since they're a part of Pinnacle Industries, loyalty to the company is considered a key requirement in being considered for recruitment.
History
As Pinnacle Industries grew and expanded, the need for greater security for their assets, particularly those closer to the Outlier Territories, became more and more apparent to them. While they initially turned to mercenaries to provide this extra security, the corporation would eventually decide to create a branch of their existing security forces capable of using higher grade training and equipment, drawing on veteran secuirty personnel and some particularly loyal mercenaries for their initial recruitment. It didn't take long afterwards for the newly established Asset Protection Force to prove itself in multiple engagements with raiders near the border of the Outlier Territories, becoming a vital component of Pinnacle Industries' operations across the galaxy.
