Overview
The people of
Ugallan II, the
Murae, are a peaceful race, despite appearances to the contrary. They are powerful fighters in their seas though in recent history it has mostly been ceremonial. When it comes to spacecraft, the Murae favored large and spacious Star Liners that are quite popular as civilian cruise vessels or deep space exploration science vessels.
When the
Empire, invaded the alpha quadrant, the Murae offered to use their technology and strategic minds to aid in the fight. Many Star Liners were converted into Capital Frigates and Cruisers used by the
Republic in the fight against the System Lords. If the ship is for civilian use it is prefixed with Ugallan Star Liner (U.S.L.) and those for military use have the prefix: Ugallan Star Defender (U.S.D.). The largets vessels are classified as Star Cruisers and are prefixed as Ugallan Star Cruiser (U.S.C.).
Vehicles
The Murae have developed shields and hull armor far superior than others and with their redundancies in place, Ugallan vessels can outlast some of even the most intense firefights in space. These systems primarily were for the safety of passengers but coincidentally were great advantages in military combat.
However, because the Murae desire peaceful relations, they safeguard their technology religiously. The last thing they want is for their technology to fall into the hands of those who would use it to promote war, let alone fall into the hands of the System Lords.
