Veneer

A tribal people, who live most commonly in the mountains south of the Kyrios coasts. They are known to have a highly personal connection to spirits of the void in comparison to other cultures. They are one of the few that do not see the beasts as a menace.

Culture

Shared customary codes and values

Life is sacred, whether the grass heath the food or the target of a hunt and thus it must be respected in life and death. For this reason, nothing should ever be wasted from somethings meat, bones, tendons, or fur. This though can disturb some as certain tribes will just as readily apply it to other people as they will animals, it is however far less common.

Average technological level

They are one of the least technically advanced of any stationary people. Prefering a simpler tribal life.

Common Dress code

They prefer light furs.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Each of the Veneer have a spirit of the void they are bound with from the earliest days of their birth and the two of them are meant to work as one and to the people the two are often treated as one being rather than two. This is also true in a legal sense as many tribes will punish both for the actions of one.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

When a child is born a spirit of The Void is called upon, this Void Beasts will slither its way out of the shadows. The two of them with then be ritualisticly cut. The blood of the child and the blood of the beast will be blended together with one another.

Common Myths and Legends

They believe that the world was created by a great beast mother.

Gender Ideals

A highly gendered society, men are the hunter-warriors while women are gathers and priestess. Motherhood is considered one of the most sacred of rites a women can perform.
