Silveisean
The Silveiseans own much of the central seas. They are a fairly new ethnic group existing as an offshoot of Telruin, their parent ethnicity. Known for their elaborate way of dress, their adherence to the code of the Abidement, and their propensity for establishing enclaves all across Prominence, there is a reason that their ethnic group has become synonymous with imperialism. Their form of established governance often allows for previous kingdoms to resume rule, as long as their doctrine, the Abidement, is taught.
The split from Telruin occurred at some point during the Masked Age, when a majority of the population of that ethnic group found itself away from its homeland in the country of Bheid. The Silveiseans were a fanatical group of religious zealots that believed in self isolation upon the island of Kiger. They held an obscure fascination with the religious text, The Abidement, an ancient doctrine handed down by the Eldara and translated by the Vrolua.
These people grew in number, even in their isolation, and eventually overtook the island of Kiger, forcibly removing any Telruin that stood in their way. All the while, they continued their worship of the Abidement, establishing a religious order under the same name. Now the priests of the Abidement can be found far and wide during the Tarnished Age. It's no understatement that the Silveiseans are singlehandedly responsible for the spread of their religion.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
Silveiseans speak Sea Speech and can communicate fluently with other groups. They also read, write, and speak Vrolua.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Silveiseans have a flare for dressing in the finest silk fabrics that they can buy. They are also known for wearing and making perfumes. Upon the island of Kiger there are many different flowers which lend themselves to perfumery by pure coincidence.
Gender Ideals
Gender is extremely fluid in Silveisean society. Any sense of binary is almost completely eradicated here.
Major organizations
The Abidement and the Silveisean Empire are the largest of the organizations dominated by the Silveiseans.
