OXNBAR is a famous bar and restaurant located in Yukon City's Westbrook Borough, in the Lasalle District. It is frequented by both the city's upper and lower class and serves as a important gathering spot for the local residents.

Transformations

The original building had three floors, wirh each floor containing 3 appartements and a staircase. In 2051, the building's foundations were reenforced as the buikding had developped a slight lean to the left. The restaurant was greatly expanded in 2057 to include the bar area. Then, in 2062, two more stories were added, the fourth had 2 appartements, and the fifth had a penthouse, as well as a terrase on the right side. Finaly, in 2088, the entire restaurant was closed for 5 months for extensive renovations. It reopened with great fanfare on the 1st of March, 2089.

Architecture

Exterior Design

The building has five stories. The first story is almost completely occupied by the OXNBAR, except for a door on the left side leading to a staircase to the upper floors. Floors 2 and 3 have the same design, with a round window for the staircase, and 3 square windows in a row, and no balconies of any kind. The Fourth floor has 2 square windows and a single glass door, protected by a rusted metal fence. The fifth and final floor is entirely occupied by a penthouse, with large windows from floor to ceiling. The penthouse doesn't occupy the full space of the previous floors, as a few metres off to the right are used as a terrasse.

Interior Design

The establishment itself can be roughly divided into three sections. In the front, on the first floor, is the restaurant and bar area. There is seating at tables along the window and along the bar itself. Further in, is a VIP section, which includes private lounges rooms and a common area with dancers. The basement serves as storage, and can be accessed via nearby buildings and the outside. The upper floors are mostly appartements, owned by the restaurant owner and rented to employees and outsiders. Finally, the last floor is a penthouse also owned and lived in by the owner's family.

Purpose

The purpose of the establishment is to offer cheap meals to casual and regular clients during the day, and also to act as a discret meeting spot for the city's criminal underbelly and elites, including corpos and politicians.

Location

The establishment is located along Mercier Avenue, an important commercial street in the Lasalle district. Two stops of the YCTN metro are located close to the establishment.
When the building was built in 2041, the city did not yet extend to its location, yet by 2096, OXNBAR is in one of the city's densest neighbourhood, with most buildings around it stacking up to 8 stories tall, and some being even higher.
In fact, one of OXNBAR's most recognizable aspect, excluding its flashing neon lights, is the smaller stature of the building compared to its neighbours, as it is just 5 stories tall.
