Aya Minami
Aya is the HGA's logistics specialist and mission control, as well as Akari's wife. She was born into the Minami Clan, a high-profile Yakuza family. In an attempt to distance their family from the criminal organization, her mother disavowed the clan and cut herself off from them, which would lead to the family experiencing financial issues for a while. Despite this, Aya was raised in as normal of an environment as possible, growing up with two younger siblings. At the age of 10, Aya was struck by a drunk driver while crossing the road, which resulted in her T10 vertebrae being severely damaged. As such, Aya would spend the rest of her life as a paraplegic.
Now struggling more than ever because of their daughter's disability, Aya's family tried their hardest to provide for their children. After a few years of struggle, Aya became well aware of the money issues being faced by her parents. At first, she'd try working odd jobs, though not many would be willing to hire a crippled teenager. When that didn't work, she found something... different.
Becoming more desperate to support her parents, Aya, at the age of 15, would stumble upon her first contract. A low level Yakuza thug needed to be silenced, and, unbeknownst to the rest of Aya's family, the Minami clan was willing to extend a helping hand. 24 hours later, with a gun that wasn't hers in her trembling hands, Aya had claimed a life, and in doing so, secured rent for her family's home for another year. By the time she had turned 18, Aya had already claimed the lives of three men, all Yakuza. It was at this point, where the proverbial winning lottery ticket would land in Aya's lap...
Aya, along with a group of other teenaged assassins, would be given the task to kill Mika Yamanagi before she finished her final year of high school. If one of them succeeded, they would be given more wealth than they could ever dream of. This was, of course, if they could get passed the bodyguards masquerading as students. As daunting as the task was, Aya had developed tunnel vision and was determined to complete the task. No more killing, and her family would be set for life.
Her plans would end up falling apart upon encountering the leader of Mika's bodyguards, Akari Daikunshu. They quickly and unexpectedly ended up bonding as Aya attempted to get closer to her target. The night she went to execute her plan, Aya was intercepted by Akari. In a show of good faith, the mercenary made Aya an offer. Switch teams, and have her family's financial issues solved for good. Already unwilling to go against someone that she had grown close too, Aya accepted, and was brought into the fold.
Throughout the remainder of that year, Aya would bond with the HGA and Mika, considering them an extension of her family. However, it was her bond with Akari that became the strongest, and deepest. The two fell for each other and became inseparable. When the job was finished, Aya would officially be brought into the HGA as their mission control and logistics specialist. Though her family's financial worries were over at this point, Aya's connection with the Minami clan was far from severed.
At some point, Aya's grandmother, the clan's matriarch, would reach out to her granddaughter directly. She wished to pass the torch onto Aya, a move which would end up causing much internal strife within the clan. Pressured by her newfound familial obligations, but with the unwavering support from her girlfriend. Aya would finally ascend to the throne, with her first action being to have the clan's business side enveloped into the Yamanagi Conglomerate.
Now, Aya and Akari are happily married, giving each other the physical and emotional support to carry them through their challenges and struggles.
