The five sannin

The five Sannin were originally formed at the end of the first great ninja war for their actions in war, where they abandoned their orders and fought a dangerous battle against a jinchurikki, defeating it and saving their enemies who would have been dealt a deadly wound. This act would lead to diplomatic negotiations between the leaf and Sand that would ultimately end the war between the two nations who would work as allies until the great war ended.   Ikari Sarutobi, aged 38, was the leader of Team 10 during the first great ninja war with his students Kato Akimichi, Himiko Yamanaka, Kotori Nara and Yuna Hyuga all being jonin in the early to mid 20's. Yuna was the youngest at 20, followed by Choja at 22, Shikatori at 23, and Inota at 25. The group had worked well together on a number of mission in the past and under Ikari's guidance were said to have one of the best mission success rates in the village. Though the group performed well together it is well documented that there were many times that the group would disagree and would undertake their own justice for protecting the village.   During the First Great Ninja War Team 10 of Konoha would be dispatched on a mission to capture an enemy base on the front lines of the war, while heading to the desired location the party would discover enemy tracks and begin to follow them. In doing so they happened to have found a group of shinobi from Tsuchigakure, the hidden stone village, Konoha's ally, travelling through the land with a prisoner in tow. Yuna, using her Byakugan, managed to see that the prisoner had a large amount of chakra within them that seemed nearly monstrous in nature. After doing so the group decided to follow them, deeming their activity suspicious and as they followed them they observed a terrible sight.   The Stone shinobi had ambushed a group of Sand ninja leading a prison transport. During the battle Inota would use her capabilities with the Mind Transfer kekkei genkai to read the minds of the targets as she seen the opportunity while Shikatori would use his ability to restrain the shinobi and keep them from fighting. While peering through the minds of the shinobi, Inota would learn a number or troubling things. The Sand Ninja were transporting prisoners of war and captured shinobi to a safe location after recent battles, the stone shinobi were sent to kill the targets from the sand, free the prisoners and implant one of their own as a highly dangerous prisoner, this shinobi had a great beast sealed in them with nowhere near enough strength to properly contain the creature. Before the group could decide what to do about the situation the jinchurikki would break free of their bonds, causing the technique to weaken in Shikatori's surprise, allowing the battle to resume between all three sides as the jichurikki raced towards Sunagakure to complete their own mission.   Team 10 would be left with no choice but to fight both sides, the stone shinobi, feeling betrayed by their allies were quick to try to take them down while the shinobi from the Sand felt they had little choice but to defend themselves from both teams in a battle to the death. In the end Team 10 would come out victorious but injured and had little time to recover as they chased after the jinchurikki, knowing that if it reached Sunagakure as their mission entailed, disaster would arise and many innocent lives would be lost. The jinchurikki was similar to a time-bomb waiting to go off in the capital of the village. Even though Sunagakure was an enemy of Konoha's in this time, even in the midst of war, Team 10 of Konoha knew that it would be far too high a price to pay. Destroying the capital, killing thousands of innocent and near certainly wiping out the Sand village in its entirety was the goal Tsuchigakure had given their jinchurikki and it had to be stopped, with that in mind the group decided that they had no choice but to eliminate the jinchurikki and save a nation they were at war with.   Team 10 wasted no time chasing after the enemy and was hot on their tail, as they chased their foe through the land more demonic chakra would leak off the target as their weak seals began breaking faster due to their stress and regular use of chakra. This would lead to the two sides battling and team 10 attempting to capture the creature on their own, though the jinchurikki would escape once again and quickly reach the borders of Sunagakure where it would begin tearing through the various shinobi guarding it. Though the creature would be fully released from its host and begin slaughtering many shinobi, due to the combined efforts of team 10 and the skilled guards that fought alongside them, the great beast would be defeated and Team 10 would be considered Heroes of the Sand village, and given the title of Sannin.   Yuna Hyuga would be the first of the Sannin to pass, at the age of 37 she would be killed during a mission in which she would be forced to face a powerful rogue Shinobi in a fight to the death, she would leave behind a young son who was hardly 8 years old at the time. It would take 2 years to find a suitable replacement for Yuna as many were against having a new sannin brought into the group, but many saw it as a chance to show the strength of the next era and used it as a way to encourage the shinobi to compete for the title and strive for greatness. Zashi Senju was the one chosen and the village rejoiced. He wasn't much younger than her at 32, had been an incredible help during the battle in the great war and had spent many years working some of the worst jobs in the village, making many friends with shinobi of low ranking and great popularity throughout the village, though his skills were not as great as the rest of his fellow sannin he would grow in strength with his allies and serve the village faithfully.   Ikari Sarutobi would be the next to pass at age 64 roughly 7 years later. His students, Choja Akimichi, Shikatori Nara and Inota Yamanaka aged, 48, 49 & 51 respectively, would swear on their master's grave that they would tie their clans together eternally, an oath kept to this day. Though the three clans now live in different lands they are taught to regard each of the clans as their own, and raised to forbid fighting those from their allied clans whenever possible.   Selecting Ikari's replacement as a Sannin was also a challenging ordeal, he had been well respected by the village and was a mentor to many, not to mention his strength in battle. Himiko Lee was chosen as his replacement. A very powerful figure who specialized in taijutsu and kenjutsu, she was known for her close combat abilities and her fierce attitude, though she was only 26 she was considered one of the best close combat fighters in the village and fiercely loyal to her nation. It took only a year for her to be chosen as a sannin once Ikari had passed.   Choja would be the next to pass in the year 136, 11 years later. He had been on a mission with his comrades and sacrificed himself to capture a tailed beast that had gone wild in the borders of the Land of fire. During this even Himiko Lee would become greatly injured and it was only due to Shikatori's great strength and Inota's coordination that the beast was able to be captured with no casualties other than Choja. After this battle both Inota and Shikatori would become noticeably depressed and would be seen sticking close to each other at all times and were said to have missed to coronation of the next sannin, Kiko Aburame, age 30.   In the year 140 the 5 sannin, Inota Yamanaka (aged 65), Shikatori Nara (aged 62), Kiko Aburame (aged 34), Himiko Lee (aged 41), and Zashi Senju (aged 54) were gathered to meet and told they were being given a highly important mission for the village. They were to target another Nation's great beast and destroy it before it caused any more damage, though it was sure to anger the enemy nation it was deemed too dangerous to continue. This would be the first time the sannin had battled a great beast since Choja's death and it was clear Inota and Shikatori were not happy about it. After this battle the sannin would be chased out of The Land of lightning, who had ignored one of their great beast's going wild in the out skirts of their land.   Following the battle in the Land of lightning, Inota would begin taking on an apprentice, Zega Mitarashi, an orphaned child that possessed little ability in most ninjutsu skills but was noticed to be very close with animals and healing. Zega would be chosen as Inota's replacement following her retirement in the year 146, though many were doubtful of their abilities, Shikatori Nara took helm in guiding them as a sannin and ensuring Inota got her peaceful retirement, Zega Mitarashi was 28 at the time of her promotion.   Following Inota's retirement, Shikatori Nara would become the last remaining sannin of the first generation and was looked at with nearly as much respect as the Hokage themself. Though they were very integral to the village and loyal to following their orders and protecting the village, Shikatori had grown discontent in his old age, now wanting to serve the village from within rather than heading out on dangerous missions. Due to his immense respect in the village and his great intellect he served as an advisor to many of the young shinobi and began overseeing missions and reports from his coworkers. Though many assumed his powers had weakened in age, this was untrue, though he no longer used his strength in battle as often as he did before, Shikatori would often be observed using his shadows and abilities on a near endless basis to help himself and those around him as a form of training.   In the year 150, on the 50th anniversary of the formation of the 5 sannin Shikatori Nara (aged 73), Inota Yamanaka (aged 75), Zashi Senju (aged 65), Kiko Aburame (aged 44), Zega Mitarashi (aged 32) and Himiko Lee (aged 54) were all present when something unthinkable happened. Inota turned against the sannin and began attacking them. Shikatori tried his best but was unable to stop Inota's attacks and he was dealt a near lethal blow. Due to Zega's healing abilities his life was spared but he was unable to stop his friends death. Upon her death it was clear that she had been manipulated, placed under someone's control who aimed to destroy the sannin.   Shikatori became very focused on taking down the one who had controlled his oldest friend and left the village, searching all across the land looking for the one to blame when he found them. A powerful Rogue with a stolen sharingan they had claimed in war was out to avenge their slain family who had been betrayed by the Sannin during the battle of the first great ninja war. Their grandfather had been killed by the original five sannin, but by the time he had achieved the power to get his revenge only 2 of the traitors remained, and he wished to kill them most of all. Shikatori and the young man fought for a period of time and in the end were unable to best one another, sensing that he could not best his younger opponent Shikatori resorted to tactics few would dare use. Possessing his target to mimic his own movements, Shikatori drew a kunai and slit his own throat, killing himself and his enemy in one blow.   Following the death of Shikatori a new sannin would need to be selected and many were unsure of who the village would select, Maso Senju was the one selected, at 40 years old and years of relentless training Maso was one of the strongest shinobi in the village with fuinjutsu and genjutsu abilities that rivaled even the strongest of Uchiha. He was known for doing whatever was ordered regardless of what his own beliefs were and many considered him as little more than a puppet for the elders and other members of the hidden leaf political game. Though many of the sannin disliked their new coworker there was little doubt that they believed he was earnest in protecting the village. Maso had gone through the villages Root program rather than growing up in the academy, this meant that he had been put in battle and forced into conflict far earlier than most and that he was used to following orders regardless of consequence, honor or personal opinion and he reflected as much to his allies.   In the year 158 at the age of 62, Himiko Lee would pass away due to heart disease, though even experienced medics offered to treat her with experimental medicine she had refused, claiming that she would rather fall to some disease while still in fighting condition than live to be just another old bag of bones. Though she was greatly missed throughout the village her replacement was chosen rather quickly as Maya Haruno, aged 29, was made to join the sannin.   In the year 165, aged 80, Zashi Senju would be slain in battle, sacrificing his own life to protect a platoon of young jonin during a major battle in war. Zashi's replacement would be chosen within the year and is would end up being Katsumi Hatake, aged 33, a popular kunoichi who had quickly risen through the ranks while maintaining her desire to become the hokage. She was eager to please the village and performed her missions with blazing passion that few could match.   In the year 172, Kiko Aburame, aged 66 would pass in battle when she was captured by an enemy nation and tortured for information. Unfortunately for her, her body wouldn't be recovered by the village for over a year, when her replacement would be named. Taisuke Namikaze, age 36 would be chosen. He had been exceedingly useful in battles and helped the village with his intimate knowledge on seals and his taijutsu capabilities. Many seen him as a great shinobi worthy of the role while others thought he only earned the promotion because he earned favor from the elders and the hokage.   In the year 181, Zega Mitarashi, age 63, would pass in battle against a powerful rogue shinobi who threatened the village. Her successor would be selected within the year. The one selected was an odd choice for many, a jinchurikki for the 5 tailed griffon, Kazuhiro Kako, age 24. He had spent most of his life being hated by the village for having the creature sealed inside of him but with rising tensions and his power increasing the village had seen his potential as a way to ward off enemy nations while also keeping him under watch of the strongest shinobi in the land.   In year 189, Maso Senju, age 79 would be caught in battle with the 6 Storms of Kumogakure and despite facing them all bravely he would lose his life in this battle, protecting Kazuhiro Kako. Unfortunately Maso's death would serve as the trigger for Kazuhiro losing control of his beast and facing the 6 storms. This battle would serve as the trigger for the war between Kumogakure and Konohagakure. His replacement was selected as Hayate Inuzuka, age 27. He was a capable shinobi that was well respected as a tracker and assassin from the Root Program.   In year 192, during the war between Kumogakure and Konohagakure the 5 sannin would face the 6 storms in battle.   In the year 197, Maya Haruno was killed in war when they were betrayed by Sunagakure and their team of Sand shinobi led them into a trap, assassinated them and stole vital intelligence to the village. This event would escalate the war to a great Ninja war as Konohagakure, Tsuchigakure and Kusagakure fought against Sunagakure, Kumogakure and Kirigakure. Maya Haruno's replacement was Koga Daisuke, age 34, a powerful shinobi of the village who spent most of their time attending to the land and creatures within the borders of the Land of fire.   In year 200 the 5 Sannin would gather together once again, comprised of Koga Daisuke (age 37), Hayate Inuzuka (age 38), Kazuhiro Kako (age 41), Taisuke Namikaze (age 61), and Katsumi Hatake (age 65) were to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the sannin coronation and were sent to Sunagakure on friendly terms. This celebration would be well received and many would see it as a sign of peace during the great war, but many others held grudges and the sannin were attacked when crossing the border between lands and were forced to defend themselves from a large deployment of shinobi violating the peace agreement the nations had in place, though it was quickly discovered that the rebels had been misled by one of the 6 storms of Kumogakure.   In the year 206, Taisuke Namikaze, age 67, was killed in battle during the second great ninja war when he fought against 3 members of the 7 swordsmen in battle and was able to save a platoon of young soldiers in doing so. Following his death the next sannin appointed would be Asami Sarutobi, age 42, Asami had been a very stable shinobi of the village, with a high mission success rate, great abilities in medical techniques and helping her fellow shinobi, as well as a high level of knowledge on the ongoings in the village. Asami was viewed as an odd choice, though none doubted her ability, many questioned whether she truly deserved the title.   In the year 214, Katsumi Hatake, age 79, retired from the sannin and named their replacement as Hikari Nara, age 26. Hikari was a well respected kunoichi who had been personally trained by Katsumi since her chunnin graduation at 17. Though Katsumi's retirement was unexpected, many had already assumed Hikari would be her replacement.   In the year 222, Hayate Inuzuka, age 60, would retire and Ruka Toshiko, age 32 would be selected as his replacement. Ruka had come to the village years ago when her parents had fled to Konohagakure for protection during war, seeing how much the Leaf Village had helped her family Ruka had dedicated her life to protecting the village.   In the year 227, Katsumi Hatake, age 93, would be found assassinated in her home with nobody else present at the time of death.   In year 233, Kazuhiro Kako, age 74 would have his beast extracted from him and sealed into a younger vessel, he would die as a result of this and a new Sannin would be chosen. Maito Lee, age 44 would be chosen due to their great experience in battle and their excellent wisdom.   In the year 239, Hayate Inuzuka, age 77, would pass away from a heart attack in his sleep.   In year 245, Koga Daisuke, age 82, would retire and choose his successor as Kodis Hyuga, age 25. Kodis was an incredible taijutsu expert respected by many for his great knowledge and capabilities.   In the year 250, Koga Daisuke would die after attending the 150 year Sannin anniversary.   In the year 256, Asami Sarutobi, age 90, would pass away in her sleep. Her placement would be named as Hisaki Aburame, age 30. Hisaki was a talented shinobi with exceptional ability but many viewed him as unprepared for such a position and he was eager to prove them wrong.   In the year 263, Hikari Nara, age 68, would retire and their successor would be chosen as Nachiko Senju, age 27. Nachiko was known for her incredible ability in battle and her unwavering loyalty.   In the year 268, Maito Lee, aged 78, would retire and choose their student Mako Maul, age 33 as his successor. Mako Maul was an incredible fighter known for his use of many weapons in battle that he used to maul or brutalize his opponents. Though many considered him a monster, those close to him claimed he was incredibly kind and helpful.   In the year 272, Ruka Toshiko, age 82, would lose her life in battle and her replacement would be selected as Kamiya Mitarashi, age 47. Kamiya had been one of the shinobi present at Ruka's death, an ambush laid by Kirigakure shinobi looking for the bounty on Ruka's head. Though Kamiya had captured the enemies it had been too late to save Ruka's life. This event would lead to war between Konohagakure and Kirigakure.   In the year 275, Maito Lee, age 87, would pass away in battle with one of the 7 swordsmen of the mist.   In the year 278, Kodis Hyuga, age 58 would retire and Macho Savage, age 26 would be chosen as his replacement. Though many expected his master Mako Maul to select him as a Sannin, Kodis claimed that Macho had deserved the title sooner rther than later and willingly stepped aside to let Macho gain his title earlier.   In the year 281, Hisaki Aburame, age 54, would retire and Kazuyoshi Senju, age 48 was appointed in their stead as one of the most powerful shinobi in the village with a long history of protecting it.   In the year 284, Hikari Nara, age 89, would be killed in battle with a great beast.   In the year 288, Nachiko Senju, age 52 would retire and choose Namiko Hisada, age 34.   In the year 290, Kamiya Mitarshi, age 65, would be killed in battle with enemy shinobi and Arashiyama Senju, aged 24, would be chosen as the next sannin.   In the year 293, Kodis Hyuga, age 73, would die in battle.   In the year 294, Mako Maul, age 59, would retire and choose Ichiro Hyuga, age 23, as his replacement to join the 5 sannin.   Founded: Year 100.     1st generation: Choja Akimichi (100-136), Ikari Sarutobi (100-124), Inota Yamanaka (100-146), Shikatori Nara (100-150), Yuna Hyuga (100-117).   2 year gap between Yuna's death and Zashi's appointment.   Second generation: Zachi Senju (119-165), Himiko Lee (125-158), Kiko Aburame (137-172), Zega Mitarashi (146-181), Maso Senju (150-181).   Third Generation: Maya Haruno (158-197), Katsumi Hatake (165-214), Taisuke Namikaze (173-206), Kazuhiro Kako (181-233), Hayate Inuzuka (189-222).   Fourth Generation: Koga Daisuke (197-245), Asami Sarutobi (206-256), Hikari Nara (214-263), Ruka Toshiko (222-272), Maito Lee (233-268).   Fifth Generation: Kodis Hyuga (245-278), Hisaki Aburame (256-281), Nachiko Senju (263-288), Mako Maul (268-294), Kamiya Mitarashi, (272-290).   6th generation: Macho Savage (278-present), Kazuyoshi Senju (281-present), Namiko Hisada (290-present, Arashiyama Sarutobi (290-present), Ichiro Hyuga (294-present).   7th generation: ???, ???, ???, ???, ???.
