Alena (a.k.a. "Mother Life" or "Godmother")

Alena, also called Mother Life, is the highest deity in serath religion. Falsely, she is portrayed by her followers as a man, as she never appears herself, but prefers her spokesman. The goddess of life is the Keeper of all life forms. Mostly she is pictured with an eagle on her left shoulder. She is described as peace-loving, considerate, compassionate, and graceful, though no one ever saw her. The ghosts differ in their appearance; but it's just speculation. Anyway, Alena is considered beautiful because only beauty could make something as beautiful as life. Unlike what is preached, Alena did not create life, but only swore to protect. What is certain is that she played a major role in the evolution of life. Although Alena is mostly rough on the lives of the living, she is the more angry if someone murders on her behalf. She abhors the death of every life form and rarely tries to prevent it. This she did to Elowen by making him deity. If someone commits a murder on her behalf, the spokesman appears, claiming the killer's soul as punishment for blasphemy. Alena is mother of Elowen and the creator of Custos.

Personal history

Alena was born in a clan of Tyr, the first men who settled down in the lands of Shareth. Everyone was surprised that not a boy but a girl was born because the shaman forsaked a son to the family. It was the first and only time that the shaman was wrong. In conlusion they believed a prophecy had been fullfilled: A not forsaken child from Tyr should have carry a great burden.
