Crocotta

The Crocotta are a bipedal canine species from Dunay. Very cunning and intelligent, they developed advanced technology. By the time of The Merge, they had finished transitioning to an industrialized society, fully reliant on coal and steampower across all branches of life.
Crocotta have a natural aptitude for communication, picking up new languages and accents quickly. While this helped them adapt to life on Earth quickly, the other species have realized it is very hard to tell when a crocotta is lying. Crocotta make excellent diplomats and ambassadors for the other species, whose elders still struggle to adapt to the disruptions brought about by the Merge.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Crocotta are bipedal and covered in fur. The fur is usually various shades of grey, brown, or yellow, with or without spots. They have protuding snouts and large ears. The necks of larger crocottas tend to curve downward, making some appear to be permanently hunched over.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Crocotta are omnivorous, capable of devouring nearly anything organic. They have adaptable circadian rhythyms, sometimes staying awake for extended periods of focus or working during nocturnal periods.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Keen sense of smell and hearing, though vision is relatively impaired. Vision is sometimes corrected with lenses. Crocotta primailly hunted through scent, often at night.
