Rynna Ralto
Rynna Ralto was King of Bartol from AF 296-332. He died at the hands of his son Raghnall after naming his brother-in-law Osvald Haverdover as his heir.
Born in AF 267, he was the second and youngest son of Mlungusi Ralto and Xylona Allaste, but their sixth child overall. His oldest sister Yrsa was born in AF 258, followed by sisters Monika, Sanne and Hertha in 261, 262 and 264 respectively. His older brother Radomil was born two years before him, and his younger sisters Erna and Lina followed in AF 273 and 276.
In his early years he expected his older brother Radomil Ralto would become king. However, in AF 277 Radomil left the family and joined the Wardens of Ehlonna, and Rynna was declared Heir to the Golden Throne of Bartol in AF 286.
He met Alzena Haverdover in AF 288 and after a long on-and-off courtship, they were handfasted in AF 307. Their son Raghnall Ralto was born in AF 314. Raghnall was a challenge to raise, as he had a number of behavioral issues, most notably a short temper that turned more and more violent as he grew older, as well as what appeared to be voices talking to him in his head. These did not appear to get any better despite years of treatment by a variety of doctors and clerics. Concerned by the lack of any improvement in his son, Rynna decided to name his wife's brother Osvald Haverdover as Heir to the Golden Throne of Bartol in AF 332. Raghnall was enraged by this action and staged a coup just three days later, killing his father, uncle, his aunt Hertha (who was Captain of the Palace Guard (Eridane) and numerous other guards and bystanders.
