Death by thrist

The punishment reserved for the worst offender in the Grukania Desert. Opposed to more common death sentences like normal execution or the far more painful but ultimately useful death by using rumbo tree seeds , this death sentence is made to fear. During this punishment the victim is bound and left outside with only some simple shade. They are cared for to the point that they don´t die, but are otherwise left on the brink of dehydration, for days on end. Based on the severity this perpetual dying of thirst is extended until the sentence is satisfied, then the victim is feed one last normal meal with as much water as it wishes to drink. Afterwards every support is taken away and they ultimately wither away after a short time. Not eating and drinking at that point would be less painful but most can´t resist the lure of the water after their continued torture. This meal is commonly referred to as the "last punishment".

The longest recorded sentence had the judged suffer through 58 continuous days of "dying from thirst".
It is seldom used as it is a waste of resources and only used to punish the worst criminal as a warning what suffering can be dished out.
