Triceratops

A very large, and formidable herbivorous dinosaur, it was seen engaged in a fight with a T-Rex, who was attempting to hunt the large dinosaur. The Pioneers reported that the horned herbivore in question remarkably held it's own against the apex predator, both leaving one another bloody, and cautiously retreating from one another.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Triceratops travel in herds, and they have little tolerance for weakness being inside of it. The herds are led by a patriarch and a matriarch, who are typically a mated pair, and males will compete in competitions of strength during rutting season. Typically older, stronger males with scars are favorable, as they possess the strongest traits of survival.

Domestication

Triceratops are aggressive, and distrustful, but can be befriended by cautiously gifting them a diet of fruits and vegetables. Hundreds of pounds worth.

Facial characteristics

Easily the most striking feature of this dinosaur, their large, majestic horns, two above the eyes that reach several feet long, typically four feet or more, (1.2 meters). The other striking detail, is their frill, behind the horns stands a large, hardened frill that acts as both a protective shield for their necks, as well as a sexual display, in males.

Average Intelligence

Despite the hulking, barbaric and primitive appearance, the Triceratops is a social creature, and can be sensitive, however, it's very evident in herds that they favor strength, and will expel weak, old, or sick herd members.
