Taiga
Mountainous, and cold, this type of forest is different from the ones at a higher altitudes. Colder, and lower down, Pleistocene animals tend to gravitate towards these mountainous forests, and enjoy the cold weather.
Geography
Tall, mountainous rocks, with tall, alpine trees, and powdery snow, tossed over the green grass, with rivers, waterfalls, and crystal-clear lakes make the Taigas very photogenic.
Ecosystem
Mainly the home of Pleistocene animals, more often than not the animals that survive here are typically mammals, but it isn't a stranger to feathered or well-insulated dinosaurs, such as the Nanuqsaurus. Wooly Mammoths make a trek up the mountains from the Tundras and Polar Deserts to enjoy the clean, and clear mountain lakes, as well as the rasperries that grow within these zones.
Ecosystem Cycles
Cold summers, and Frigid Winters, where snow covers nearly everything.
Localized Phenomena
At night, auroras can be seen. On top of this, The Taigas are where one can see more Pleistocene animals engaged in the natural struggle, it was here where the Pioneers saw a pride of saberteeth hunt down an old mammoth.
Climate
Cold, typically, with fresh clean air, and a cool breeze.
