Swamps
If you thought rainforests were wet, you're in for it. Muddy ground, water with each foot step, vines, wrapped around rocks and trees and rivers and lakes with trees erupting from them.
The swamp is dangerous, for it's filled with many creatures hiding in the water, from prehistoric crocodiles, large, carnivorous fish, dinosaurs, and even ancient whales and sharks may wander into the hot, muggy wetlands.
Geography
Wet vegetation, and wet, rotting, vegetation. There is plenty of mud, and vines, a flooded jungle, with a lot of standing, stagnant water, few rivers and clear lakes can be found.
Ecosystem
While some of the water is fresh, there are also salt water swamps, it just depends on what swamp you are in, as swamps are typically the separation between wet and dry land. Within the swamps, there are dinosaurs, large arthropods, and mammals, such as giant sloths live in these swamps.
Ecosystem Cycles
It ultimately depends on what swamp one find's themselves in, but typically swamps will often times have hot summers, and winters will have snow, but sometimes it will simply rain.
Localized Phenomena
Swamps have been known to flood quite commonly, and are also victims to hurricanes, while not all swamps are susceptible to intense oceanside storms, the rain in swamps can be quite oppressive.
Climate
