The Deep

A massive oceanic trench that is yet to be explored. The deep is largely the reason for the late discovery of Taretza, due to its proximity to the continent. There is essentially not a single ship that willingly sails into or through the deep, due to the known fact that gargantuan sea creatures roam the waters, attacking anything that moves on the surface. It is not known if a single ship has managed to survive a foray into the deep.

Geography

What is known about the region is that the edges of the deep stretch further down than anyone has seen, and no person has observed the total depth of the region, at least not that is still alive.
