Halcyon Order
The Halcyon Order is a powerful mercenary company based in Golimbe, in the eastern side of Ishkar. They are the most famous mercenary company of the continent and many consider them the most powerful military force of Golimbe. Their leaders are primarily driven by the accumulation of wealth and glory. Some members have more altruistic motivations such as bringing peace to the cities and towns of Ishkar.
The Halcyon Order is Golimbe's army and provides law enforcement to the city and the surrounding area. In addition, the Halcyon Order has forts and castles across the continent and even further in order to extend its power and reach. The Order has established a presence in places as far as the forested mountains of The Tangle.
Structure
The Halcyon Order is run like an army. Every group of five nuhan is led by a fiddan and an albrun. Fiddan is veteran soldiers who have risen through the ranks while albrun are trained knights from a noble or mercantile family. A kitrum is put in command of a fort or a mission. The dhaba commands the entire Halcyon Order.
- Dhaba
- The Dhaba is the highest authority of the organization and the position has belonged to a member of the Kaa-Hotep family.
- Kitrum
- Kitrum are the members who serve directly under the Dhaba and are commanders of the lower troops. They serve as generals and ambasadors
- Fiddan
- Fiddan are captains of smaller groups of five, called Halcyons. They are often veterans in the profession and are experienced leaders.
- Albrun
- Albrun are often new initiates that have previous training. For example, newly recruited mercenaries or trained nobles are placed within this rank.
- Nuhan
- Nuhan are the rank for new members, who also have little previous experience. Though this is not true for all, since some are just people who have no interest in a higher rank and being a leader.
