Deeffays
Comes from the "DFA", acronym for "death from above".
This is a giant flying predatory bird, infamous for attacking children, and sometimes even fully grown adult humans.
They have a wingspan between 4 - 6 m, and weight about 15-20 kg, although they can lift about 3 times their own weight, thanks to their huge and powerful wings, and the strong grip of their long and sharp claws.
They usually grasp large prey, rise it, and kill it by letting it fall from great altitude.
They prefer to hunt in wide open spaces, such as grasslands, and usually prey from herds of large animals, such as Jackaroos or Jackbucks, choosing the younger.
Females tend to be larger than males, and although most of the times they are seen alone, they mate for life.
On a successful Claw Attack, the Shadeth can make a contested roll against the strength of the victim, and if it succeeds, it will be able to lift the prey, move it and let it fall, unless the prey manages to break free from the Grapple. This wil probably cause a fall from great heights wither ways.
