The Owlbear Tribe

Members of the Owlbear Tribe follow the teachings of Kalorra, Goddess of Wisdom. These teachings have guided them throughout their entire life, as those who originally founded the tribe chose the owlbear to be their spiritual guardian, as it is Kalorra's celestial symbol. Many speculate that Kalorra herself was among the founding goliaths, assisting them in surviving their first years within the Selvarian Range, though this is merely speculation and has never been proven. Being the eldest of the tribes, all the other tribes seek out the Owlbears in times of need, for assistance or wisdom. The Owlbears never ignore these pleas for help and are more than happy to assist their fellow kin. The Owlbears are the most welcoming of the tribes, typically having 5 or more guests at any given moment. These guests vary from simple travelers lost in the mountains to believers of Kalorra who seek out the Owlbears in order to further their connection to the goddess. While they treat most random travelers with a level of suspicion, they tend to never question those who call themselves believers of Kalorra.
