The Eden Foundation was started to provide Rocco Wainwright a vehicle to experiment with medical science and extend the lifespan of himself and maybe the rest of humanity as well. No one but him is aware of his true agenda and the Foundation has become one of the leading forces in neurogenetics and biology but they have not yet cracked many mysteries of the human body.
To the public, the foundation does great work, helping older and elderly citizens take back their independence through rejuvenating drugs, surgeries and diet. They have presented breakthroughs in biology and neurogenetics but they had hit a wall for several years.
Since the end of the Cold War the foundation's research had been frozen for "review by peers" and "ethical review" but even more importantly, research funding from the government dried up. Rocco would not be deterred. He found new connections and new investors.
Rocco joined with the leaders of the Syndicate becoming a leader himself. Since then he has renewed his research and even had a personal breakthrough on the path to immortality. Unbeknownst to many, he has begotten a set of six heirs. Each child was born from different mothers and he is just getting started.
Now in Queens, he is spreading the influence of the Eden Foundation and the Syndicate. Providing jobs and offering something called "Foundation Funds", a unique currency that can be used to purchase goods from shops and businesses that accept it. The "Foundation Funds" is a funny money, it is not backed by any government but some portion of Eden is forcing and strong arming people and businesses to not only accept the Funds but to pay their employees in the same currency.
This cannot be proven easily though and it is the shadow that Dutch's Protective Services is hunting down.

Public Agenda

The Eden Foundation specializes not only in geriatric treatments but funds research into the field of anti-senectics, the field of anti-aging.
We have opened our new headquarters in Queens, New York and several of our Longevity Clinics. These clinics are available at a reduced cost for anyone fifty-five years of age or older.
In the clinics we offer dietary plans and workouts as well as our skin care products to get rid of scarring and wrinkles as well as stretch marks.
In select stores in the area we have also premiered the use of "Foundation Funds". With this special, limited release, we have provided a new and easier way for local customers to allow their nest eggs to grow.
