Personal history
When he was 14, Gavin was kidnapped by Dr. Crain, a doctor obsessed with studying the brain. Dr. Crain cut of Gavin's penis, gouged his eye out, and removed parts of his brain. This caused Gavin to develop schizophrenia so intense that a ghost sprung from his body name Fade. It also caused him to gain his superpowers: He can shine like a star. It also caused Dr. Crain to become the God of Flesh.
Because of this, his left eye socket glows. When he goes "Full Glow" as he calls it, he becomes another person mentally, Elio. While he was institutionalized, he was able to rent out a ghostly penis that Fade was partially able to reanimate. Said penis has the magical ability to attach to a person, and releases sperm with that person's genetic code, which makes it popular amongst lesbian couples and for men who are sterile.
After a few years of jumping from asylum to asylum, a teacher at Powerhouse Academy approached him to make an offer. Professor Paradise promised him and the staff of the asylum he was staying at that he would get better at the school.
