Pai Zhua

The first Pai Zhuq masters were taught how to harness their animal spirits by the Animal Spirits of the spirit realm. They then went on to found the first Pai Zhuq Academy. Long, the Dragon Spirit, was angry about what happened, believing that humans were unworthy of learning this. To get revenge, he slowly started corrupting one of the Masters, until he became power hungry and turned on the others. He killed the other masters and most of their students. The school was destroyed and only a few students escaped. They went on to train more students as Dai Shi got more powerful. Long recruited more spirits to his side, including Camille (the chameleon), and the Phantom Beasts. Eventually, three students of the survivors, Master Guinn, Master Rilla, and Master Lope fought Dai Shi. They managed to permanently separate his body and spirit, sealing his spirit away in a box.
After Dai Shi was sealed away, Long retreated to the spirit realm, but never stopped watching. Pai Zhua continued to grow, eventually founding five schools. The Order of the Claw grew so that eventually they had half a dozen small villages of members scattered all over the world. After defeating Dai Shi, Pai Zhuq picked three masters to be guardians that would fight Dai Shi if he should ever return. The title of guardian was passed down from generation to generation. Before Jungle Fury, the last three guardians were Master Fin, Master Swoop, and Master Phant.
