Timothy Toadstool

Timothy Travers was a boy of around 8 years old when The Catalyst Event struck.  He had only one real friend by the name of Melanie.  Timothy had always had a fascination with fungi, mushrooms and toadstools, and, on the night of the The Catalyst Event, had snuck down to his 'farm' when the Event washed over him.  Forever altered, he eventually transformed into a Fungal creature, not before infecting a number of people, including Melanie.  Showing herself a true friend, she promised to always be there and talk to him.  This is how she was able to survive the infection, as Timothy didn'tr want to lose his one, true friend.  Timothy is able to create new 'friends', by infecting others.  These Fungoid creatures are completely loyal to him.
