A young, kind-hearted woman, 'Alex' Carter is somewhat of a savant. She is quick of mind and body and possesses a keen intellect and capaciity for storing knowledge that is unsurpassed.

Personal history

Catherine grew up in a loving and peaceful household of Rochelle Carter . During her days in school, it became quickly apparrent that she was a gifted child. She was intelligent, athletic and became a model student. After graduating high school 2 years earlier than she should have, 'Alex' (as she prefferred to be called) went to college for a year at her mother's insistence (she believed her daughter was far too young to be exposed to university life at that age). During that time, Catherine applied to a number of universities, and sought scholarships to assist her in paying for the tuition fees. She was accepted into Harvard with a full scholarship from Prescott Industries.
Whilst at Harvard, she met and became BFFs with a young journalism majoy named Poppy Patel . Around this time, she also met and became friends with Grayson Prescott , helping him through his degree and helping him with his social anxiety and low self-esteem. The three of them have been thick as thieves ever since. During her tenure at Harvard, Catherine also managed to secure a place on a year long placement at Trinity College in Cambridge, in the UK. Thanks to modetn technilogy, the trio were able to stay in contact using social media. When back in the US, Catherine would spend a great deal of time in the company of Grayson Prescott , even spending some holidays at the Precott estate. This seemed to sit well with Silas Prescott , but Rochelle was somewhat purturbed by the closeness of the two children, having a far better understanding of her boss than either of the children at that point.
On Catherine's 22nd birthday, she and Grayson Prescott were involved in an RTC when a drunk driver croszsed the median and collided with their car. Whilst Grayson escaped with minor cuts and bruises, Catherine ended up badly hurt. Grayson stayed by her side as much as he could and, when she awoke, he professed feelinmgs for her that went far beyond that of friendship.
After graduating University, Grayson approached her with an offer to start further up in the Prescott enterprise than her scolarship would otherwise have allowed. He'd persuaded his father that her talernts would be wasted in menial roles and limited responsibilities. His father agreed and set the task of teaching her how Prescott Industries worked firmly on his son's shoulders.
In current times, she spends at least one evening a week with Poppy, who now works for the The City Runner as well as working at Grayson's side, as well as training with Kenji Katsaros, the son of the DA, Meiko Katsaros
