Cat

Cats are an independent animal that are enjoyed for their cuteness, antics, and independence. They are loved by some people because of these traits. As these animals tend to be so independent and self-centered, they aren't the preferred pet of people that are looking to be loved.   In Poneren, cats tend to require little work. They can look after themselves scavenging for food and often are free to roam. These animals are used to keep areas free of vermin, and often are found on farms and in town granaries keeping smaller animals away from the stores of food in those areas.   Cats like to be given food, but that isn't what they stay with people for most often. While cats are independent and don't tend to show love, they like to be loved and enjoy being petted and played with. They work well in families with children that are old enough to show love for the cats, playing with them nicely. Cats generally should not be added to families with children that are too young and selfish, as these children will not show love for cats and get upset that the cats themselves don't show love for the young children.
