Strasavix's lightning

Strasavix's lightning was a form of storage used to capture and contain lightning inside small capsules. This technology was first created by the great dragon Strasavix and the exact knowledge of how to make it was lost after his disappearance.  The process of containing the lightning is unknown, as is the exact method of construction of the containers. The exact use for the contained lightning is not well understood, but if opened improperly or broken the  containers discharge an explosive amount of electricity similar to that of a lightning bolt, thus giving the devices their name. Despite the inherent danger and potential ease of weaponization, it is considered unlikely that they were created to be used as such based on the more academic interests of their creator. Following the thread of Strasavix interest it is far more likely that they were used to adjust or research his favorite region of study metaphysics. Yet that is a broad topic and with their creator missing and possibly dead the answer as to what they are for will remain a mystery. However while the method of intended use and how the lightning is placed into the device remain in the realm of speculation the containers themselves are in the process of being reveres engineered by what is possibly the creature with the highest chance of success of any living being, Oebrix the Anvil, another of the great dragons of Pond. He is metaconules, exacting, dogged and unrelenting in pursuit of his craft, smithing. Though the reason is unclear as to why Oebrix under took this endeavor it is almost diffidently merely as a personal challenge he has given himself as what is more challenging than recreating a device made by one of the greatest academic minds in history just to prove you can do it.  With what little word is heard about the dragons it is likely Oebrix is nearing completion of his self imposed challenge and perhaps has already completed it.
