Green's Ferry

The city if Green's Ferry is major city located at the junction of the Gauge and Sharper rivers. Green's Crossing was originally founded peninsular isthmus formed where the two rivers joined and was a stop over town that ferried travelers from one side to the other and supported itself with farming. Eventually the village became a town and constructed a bridge across the slow moving Gauge river allowing it to expand to the opposite shore line. Do to the quality of the soil and location along two rivers agriculture boomed in the area and as it did experimentation with methods of cultivation and hybrid species of plants took place. As of this day Green's Ferry is the city in agricultural experimentation and research. These practices include new methods of cultivation, root grafting, hybridization of crops, and most importantly a place to study and record the results.   Research and experimentation at Green's Ferry has resulted in several new and more bountiful strains of grains that are more pest resistant. By the nature of having a large bounty of crops and flowering plants research has recently expanded into apiarian studies and research. Rumors have started that some rouge wizards and druids have begun trying to create sentient plants or hybrid fey creatures. The reasons the rumors have come up with for why they might be doing this range from insidious power grabs using armies of corn soldiers, to lonely grad students attempting to grow the perfect "study buddy".  Despite these rumors the amount of produce and innovation the city has introduced to the world is undeniable and many aspiring agricultural academics and magical practitioners flock to the region to try and make a name for themselves. Because of the large quantities vast amounts of produce particularly those that keep well are shipped to buyer and markets farther away.
