Purifying Beam

Purifying Beam is a summon ability not learnable by humans, specific to Bahamut. Bahamut's Purifying Beam is the creature's most powerful magic-related spell. This ability charges MP energy into the mouth, and releases that energy into a wide-angle beam of destruction with intense range and devastating power levels. What makes the power levels so intense is the elemental infusion of light elemental magical energy, which is a rare form of any Leray spell.

Bahamut controls this beam through its mouth, as the beam itself stays anchored within the jaws so that any turning, movement, or re-aiming will also move the beam without reducing its factors. The beam stays in effect for a couple of sustained seconds instead of an evanescent flash, allowing it to melt most metals quickly. Because of what effect Polarium's Veil has on the living creatures of the zone, Purifying Beam will not be entirely lethal or deadly to a person as much as it would to an inorganic object, but the HP reduction factor is estimated to be complete (a one-hit knockout).

Manifestation

The collection of energy and the beam itself is that of a pure, blinding white color when released. The beam's area of length is slightly more than one meter in diameter, and it sustains itself for two seconds, sometimes longer. The beam anchored from Bahamut's mouth, so it does not stay fixed in one attack vector at any one time. This however means that Bahamut remains fully active and in control of this beam even after it has been fired off.
