Psiodispersion

The Soulfront Rune of Psiodispersion is a very rare and specific marking. When activated, this rune can provide the user instant and total control of short-term future-tense psionic warnings; the ability to see everything in the surrounding area moments ahead in time before it actually happens. Psiodispersion unlocks the ability to visualize, hear, sense, and thereby predict the future of the immediate space surrounding the user, up to exactly two seconds ahead of time for a sustained duration that varies by each use.


The benefits attainable by the user of this soulfront rune can grant immense protection via forewarning of impending danger or direct threat, provided the skill is already activated and in use before it happens. The wearer would be capable of all prediction in all directions without the full use of their eyes, from which they can dodge any attacks, bullets, explosions, or other threats. The ability enables one to enter and exit the Psiodispersion field at will, and the maximum sustainable field can last for about seven seconds.

Side/Secondary Effects

With all Soulfront Runes, each activation of its power will bring the user closer to death. This effect is difficult to measure directly, though the wearer of the rune has a severe reduction in all availible energy to them for a period of time once the primary effects wear off. The duration of the drain increases each and every total time the rune is activated, until the body gives out, killing the holder of the magical mark.


An additional side effect comes with all Soulfront Runes, though most noticeable within Psiodispersion; emotional instability. To be more precise, it has been observed that controlling Soulfront Runes requires excellent control and understanding of one's own emotions. On the flip side however, loss of emotional control or stability may cause certain Soulfront Runes to activate on their own with unintended and different effect, effects which without control are harmful to nearby people or the user, depending on the rune. Psiodispersion in particular has a higher tendency for this backfire effect to occur.

Manifestation

The tattoo of this marking is larger than most and quite intense to draw. Wavy patterns with jagged ends of a divine weapon curve around the body, starting from the middle back, and wrapping around the upper shoulder towards the lower forearm. Side crests branching out from there lead to a sizable chunk of artwork across the chest.
