Session 14-ish - Restoring Gaia Grey's Tower
General Summary
After allowing an echo of a younger Gaia Grey to feed the party and gain the benefits of a long rest, the party continued forward experiencing several other planes: Hades where they rode skeletal horses, the Feywild, where they helped an archfey have a tea party, the Astral sea with a starved mindflayer, and the plane of Originators where a lone Crystalline Stalker (who might have been Choo-Choo's mother) attacked them.
An older echo of Gaia attacks them on the following level. She committed the torturous experiments in order to try to revive her human lover Arin, who died of old age. She knew retribution for her crimes against morality was coming, and nothing the players said could convince her to back down.
After their easy success, the players finally encountered the true spirit of Gaia. She expresses true remorse for all of her actions and gives the players full agency to do with her tower what they wished and either punish her, free her, or bind her to the tower. Although restoring the tower to its full power could open it up to an architect attack, the players choose that course and bind Gaia to the tower so she can make up for her crimes, turning her into a Mimir .
With the tower restored, the archfey appears and grants the characters portal creation abilities that can be channeled through their originator tech. The players can now cast the following spells:
Rewards Granted
- 2 Potion of Arcane Balance
- 2 Potion of Heroism
- Knocking Boots
- Boots of Escar-Go! (requires attunement)
- War Standard of Battlecries (requires attunement)
- Gaia Grey's Tempest Staff (requires attunement by cleric, druid, sorcerer or wizard)
Missions/Quests Completed
Gaia Grey's tower is restored to its full magical potential and can provide reading materials on planar magic and the planes themselves, as well as potentially some extra planar items to help the party.

Notes
Gaia revealed that Originator tech is made from the crystal dust that provides a barrier between the Far Realms and the Space Inbetween, the place Axani Wildwalkers say exist when they travel through portals and something in the ether is watching them.
With the new spells the players can cast, any spell caster can cast a spell at a level they have available once per day without using a spell slot. Non-spell casters can cast a lower level spell with a successful arcana check or at will if they've traveled through a portal in the last 24 hours. To cast a spell above one's level, the entire party must join hands and all pass an arcana check.
