Presage Point

Permanent Population: 500, increases by up to 2,000 depending on the tourist season

Located outside the Rilmani outpost of Dendradis, Presage Point is a center of trade and commerce. With a small local population, their many inns fill up at night where non-Rilmani visitors to Dendradis retreat to to avoid extended exposure to the negative effects of the Spire.

Approaching the city, visitors are struck by towers and observatories reaching towards the sky while also being dwarfed by the impossible height of the Spire behind it. Off in the distance to the right of the town, the reshaped Realm of the Norns can be seen, glinting in the sunlight.
Well-maintained cobbled streets deliberately wind visitors through the small town. Even those who have never cast a spell in their life feel the tingle of enchantment coming off the buildings where wooden facades are carved with symbols of divination, celestial bodies, and mystical creatures. Vibrant tapestries hanging from windows make a soothing fluttering noise and spread the scent of incense and herbs. Stores and market stalls hum with energy from mystical artifacts on display.

Visuals

Presage Point presents a visually captivating landscape characterized by its well-maintained cobbled streets that wind through the village in a deliberate pattern. The streets are lined with quaint buildings, each unique in design yet unified by an overarching sense of enchantment. Wooden facades with intricate carvings depict symbols of divination, celestial bodies, and mystical creatures.

Vibrant tapestries and colorful banners flutter from windows, showcasing the village's vibrant spirit. Stores and market stalls spill onto the streets, offering an array of mystical artifacts, spellbooks, and tools of prophecy. The scent of incense and herbs wafts through the air, creating an inviting atmosphere for those seeking guidance or curious about the mystical arts.

The architecture reflects a blend of practicality and mysticism, with towers and observatories reaching towards the sky while still unsettlingly dwarfed by the Spire. The central plaza stands as the hub of activity, where people gather to exchange visions and insights, their animated conversations echoing through the village. Presage Point thrives as a bustling hub of seers, fortune tellers, scryers, and prophets, forming an active and numerous community that permeates every aspect of village life.

The village's streets bustle with a colorful tapestry of studios, each one being a realm of its own, adorned with mystical trinkets and symbols, where practitioners employ an array of techniques to divine the unknown. Crystal balls reflect shimmering visions, playing cards are laid out in intricate patterns, coffee grounds and tea leaves shape intricate patterns, while complex spells are woven and spirits are communed with. The air crackles with energy as the villagers, and curious visitors, venture from one studio to another, seeking insights and revelations from the diverse array of divinatory practices that paint the village with a vibrant mosaic of mystical arts.

The People

The villagers possess an extraordinary awareness of the consequences of future actions and intent, though it is up for debate if this is out of respect for the role of the Rilmani or out of fear. This profound knowledge creates a unique atmosphere where preparedness and adaptation are paramount.

People plan their activities and events with meticulous precision, avoiding ill-fated ventures and capitalizing on favorable circumstances. The community relies on the guidance of the seers to make informed decisions about everything from personal relationships to business ventures.

While most are considered C tier at best, recently more legendary seers have been moving to town after the architecture of the Realm of the Norns (Act 1 Session 01: The Axani Wedding), whose remade husk can be seen on the horizon.

The community is also sought out for its insights by individuals seeking clarity in their life's path. Every visitor arrives with an uncanny sense of anticipation, as the villagers possess an innate ability to perceive unspoken details about them. As if the whispers of fate precede their arrival, the villagers greet newcomers with a knowing glint in their eyes, already aware of their unspoken desires, secrets, and intentions. It is as though the energy of the village enables the inhabitants to discern the nuances of each visitor's presence, making them feel seen and understood in a way that transcends ordinary perception.

Notable people met in this town include Hilmarr Vaucasy and Bartholomew Angler
