Axani are beings touched by planar powers of order, harmony, and structure. The minds and bodies of axani allude to idealized forms and definitions which transcend mortal understanding. They can invoke axiomatic magic to secure their forms, entrap their foes, or steer situations towards peaceful resolution. The influence of cosmic law can manifest itself in any mortal population, and the emergence of an axani may be engineered by interplanar beings for some greater cosmic mission. Lawful Good or Lawful Evil influences may result in the emergence of axani alongside aasimars or tieflings. The mark of axani heritage may be obvious or subtle, but tends to remain constant throughout one’s lifetime. 

Every action an Axani takes is carefully planned and what they lack in social skills they make up for in sheer observational talent and the ability to very bluntly find sources of problems or aberrant phenomena (much to the disdain of their close friends and companions). Axani are brutally honest and loyal to a fault.

Common Postulate Features

• The proportions of facial features and body shape share a single precise ratio
• The body is hairless and possesses a faint metallic tint
• Blades, cogs, hooks, or other metal implements emerge across the body at regular intervals
• The skin is partially transparent, revealing mechanical components in addition to flesh, blood, and bone.
• The hair naturally adjusts itself into a clean and orderly style
• The skin presses tightly against their defined musculature, retaining a single color without variance in tone or pigmentation.
