Tinkering Festival

A holiday celebrated in many areas of the Evercana Mire and Silver Gardens, mainly by gnomes. It celebrates the beginning of spring and showcases the trinkets, tools, machines, and other assorted tinkering created by members of the community during the year.

History

The Tinkering Festival originally began as part of the wider spring festivals commonly celebrated in the area of Evercana Mire and the forest of the Silver Gardens. These festivals, called first-harvest festivals, centered around various crops that would begin to sprout and be harvested. As time wore on, more and more of the festivals became times where members of the community would gather and show off their achievements from the previous year; as this sort of festival was common amongst gnomes, it slowly grew into a celebration of tinkering and tech.
Eventually it branched off from those original spring festivals and became known as the Tinkering Festival, separate from the First Harvest or Strawberry Festivals also common in the region.
