the Great Spirits
Orcish religion primarily centers around ancestral worship, honoring those that came before them. As such, most clans have their own set of ancestral spirits that are called upon; however, three major Greater Spirits are universal to all of the clans.
Frun
Great Spirit of Community
One of the more important greater spirits of the Orcs, Frun embodies unity, an important concept for the highly communal Orcs. They are considered vital to the survival of the Orcs who traveled to the Frozen Expanses, and therefore those Orcs have named themselves Frunites in their honor.Utaki of the Breath
Great Spirit of Creation
Utaki, the greater spirit of creation, is nearly universally considered to be the creator spirit of the Orc people, breathing life and thought into their long-ago ancestors. As such, those who still walk the ancient paths of their forebears have named themselves Utakics after the spirit.Makhara the Marcher
Great Spirit of Destruction
Makhara is the opposing spirit to Utaki, a destructive goddess who deals in death. For every Orc who falls, Makhara is there to take back the breath that Utaki placed in them, and to recycle that breath back into Utaki’s hands. If many Orc clans march against a foe, Makhara is the banner under which they unite; to right the balance of life, death must walk amongst.
